Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 2026

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Yumu ("the Service"), operated by Yumu Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated in Singapore ("we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service, and, if the age of legal majority where you live is higher than 18, you must have reached that age. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. The Service is not directed at anyone under 18, and anyone under 18 may not use it, with or without parental consent. If we learn that a user is under 18, we may suspend the account and delete its data.

Description of Service

The Service uses artificial intelligence (Google's Gemini API) to generate travel itinerary suggestions, including but not limited to destination overviews, day-by-day activity plans, accommodation and food suggestions, cultural and accessibility notes, visa/entry information, currency conversions, and inter-city transport options. All such content is generated automatically and provided for general informational and planning purposes only.

No Professional Advice

The Service is not a travel agency, immigration consultancy, legal, medical, financial, or safety advisory service. Nothing generated by the Service constitutes professional advice of any kind. Visa and entry requirements, safety conditions, accessibility information, pricing, exchange rates, opening hours, transport schedules, and similar details change frequently and can vary by individual circumstance.

Accuracy Disclaimer

Like any AI system, the Service can produce content that sounds plausible but is incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or entirely fabricated (sometimes called "hallucination"). A wrong AI-generated suggestion is not merely a display glitch — it can mean a missed flight or connection, a trip to a venue that has closed, an inaccurate price or exchange rate, or a route or schedule that does not actually work. The Service does not verify or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any information it provides, including third-party information referenced or linked to (such as Wikipedia images or Google Maps/Search results).

Treat every AI-generated output as a starting point for your own research, not as a finished, verified plan. You are solely responsible for independently verifying all information generated by the Service — including but not limited to visa/entry requirements, safety conditions, health/vaccination requirements, opening hours, availability, and pricing — with official and authoritative sources before booking, traveling, or otherwise relying on it for any booking, safety-related, or time-sensitive decision.

Itinerary suggestions, including references to specific businesses, attractions, accommodations, or venues, are not bookings, reservations, offers, or guarantees of availability, pricing, or continued operation. A business referenced in generated content may have closed, relocated, changed its hours, or altered its offerings without our knowledge. The Service does not endorse, recommend, or vouch for any specific business, venue, or activity it mentions.

Assumption of Risk

Travel inherently involves risks — including risks to your health, safety, finances, and legal status — that exist independently of any information the Service provides. Any decision to travel, book, visit a location, or otherwise act on an itinerary suggestion generated by the Service is made at your own discretion and risk. You are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability, safety, and legality of any suggested activity, destination, or arrangement before acting on it.

Where the Service suggests a specific route, neighborhood, area, or activity, that suggestion is generated from general information available to the underlying AI model and does not reflect real-time, on-the-ground conditions — such as local crime, civil unrest, natural hazards, road or trail conditions, or time-of-day risk. The Service is not a safety authority. Before following any suggested route or visiting any suggested area — particularly after dark or in unfamiliar surroundings — consult official travel advisories (such as your own government's foreign travel advisory service), local authorities, and your own judgment.

No Warranty

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Service, its operator(s), or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of money, missed flights or bookings, denied entry, injury, or any other loss or damage, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, the Service or any content it generates, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

If, notwithstanding the foregoing, liability is established despite this limitation, the total aggregate liability of the Service and its operator(s) for all claims arising out of or relating to your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us for a paid membership in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred United States dollars (USD $100). This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which a claim is based, and even if a remedy fails its essential purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including, where applicable, liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct. If you are a consumer, these Terms do not affect any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service and its operator(s) from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of: your use of the Service or your reliance on any content it generates; any content you submit, post, or share through the Service (including comments, itinerary edits, or collaboration invitations); or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Third-Party Links & Services

The Service may link to or reference third-party websites and services (including Google Maps, ticket/booking search results, Wikipedia, app-store search results for transit and other apps, and other travel resources). Mentioning an app is not an endorsement of it. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of any third-party site or service. Images shown in the Service are credited to their authors and licensors, and their own licenses apply to them.

User Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information when using the trip form, to use the Service only for lawful purposes, and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations of any jurisdiction relevant to your travel, including visa, customs, and entry requirements.

Prohibited Uses

In addition to the restrictions elsewhere in these Terms, you agree not to: use any form field or feature of the Service to generate content that is illegal, hateful, sexually exploitative, or otherwise violates the acceptable-use policies of the underlying AI providers the Service relies on; attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or replicate the underlying AI models or their training data through the Service; use automated means to scrape, bulk-query, or exceed reasonable request volumes against the Service or its APIs; or attempt to circumvent rate limits, security measures, or access controls.

We may suspend or terminate access for violating this section, consistent with "Account Suspension & Termination" below.

Intellectual Property

The Service's design, branding, and underlying code are the property of their respective owner(s). As between you and us, we retain whatever right, title, and interest exists in the AI-generated itinerary content the Service produces, including its underlying structure, phrasing, and compilation. Because the legal status of AI-generated content varies by jurisdiction, we make no promise that any particular rights exist in it.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use, view, print, and export that content solely for your own personal, non-commercial trip planning — including sharing an export with fellow travelers on your own trip. You may not resell, sublicense, publicly redistribute at scale, or otherwise commercially exploit AI-generated content the Service produces for you. Publishing your own saved itinerary to Community Explore, as described in "User Content" below, is permitted personal use and does not itself constitute commercial exploitation.

User Content

If the Service allows you to submit content — such as comments, votes, saved itinerary edits, or collaboration invitations — you retain ownership of that content. By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, display, and transmit it solely as necessary to operate and provide the Service (for example, showing your comment to other users, or sharing an edited itinerary with a collaborator you invite).

If you mark a saved itinerary as an "all-time favorite," you are choosing to publish it — including its content, your username, your rating, and any blurb you write — to the Community Explore feed, where it is visible to other registered users until you remove the favorite. You are responsible for anything you choose to publish this way.

You agree that comments, blurbs, usernames, and other content you post will not: be unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or sexually explicit; infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights; include other people's personal data, such as phone numbers or booking references, without their permission; contain spam, advertising, or malicious links; or impersonate another person. We may remove content or restrict accounts that breach this section.

If you use the report feature, you agree to use it in good faith to flag content that genuinely violates these Terms, and not to submit false or abusive reports to harass another user or suppress legitimate content.

You are solely responsible for content you submit and represent that you have the right to share it. If you invite a collaborator, you confirm that you may share their email address with us for that purpose and that the invitation is not unsolicited bulk messaging. We may remove or restrict access to content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of others, without notice.

Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them for any purpose, including incorporating them into the Service, without any obligation to compensate or credit you.

Paid Membership, Pricing & Refunds

The Service offers optional paid membership passes that unlock extended features (such as saving itineraries, exporting, and collaboration) for a fixed period. Each pass is a one-time purchase for a fixed number of days — currently 3, 7, 15, 30, or 90 — at the price shown to you at checkout. Passes do not automatically renew; you choose when, if ever, to purchase another.

Full access begins immediately upon purchase. Your access continues through 23:59:59 UTC on the last day of your pass's duration (counting the day of purchase as day one), regardless of the time of day you purchased it — so your actual access period may run slightly longer than the exact number of hours implied by the pass length, and you are never cut off in the middle of a session.

You may cancel your membership at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect immediately: your access to membership features ends as soon as you cancel, rather than continuing until the end of your original pass period.

If you cancel before using the full duration of your pass, you will receive a partial refund. We determine the number of days you actually used, identify the smallest pass duration that would have covered that many days, and refund the difference between what you paid and that smaller pass's standard (undiscounted) price. This method ensures your refund reflects a fair rate for the time you actually used, rather than the deeply discounted per-day rate that comes with a longer pass. For example: if you purchase a 90-day pass and cancel after 10 days of use, your usage is measured against the smallest pass that covers 10 days (currently the 15-day pass), and you are refunded the difference between what you paid for the 90-day pass and the 15-day pass's standard price. Any promotional discount applied to your original purchase does not reduce the price used in this calculation. The exact refund amount for your account is shown to you before you confirm cancellation. Your access ends as soon as you cancel; refunds are reviewed by our team before they are issued to your original payment method, and we will email you when yours is approved. Your bank may take additional business days to show it.

Prices shown at checkout do not include taxes unless stated. Where we are required to collect taxes (such as GST or VAT), they will be added and shown before you confirm payment; you are responsible for any other taxes that apply to your purchase.

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that gives you a statutory right to withdraw from, or cancel, a digital service purchase (for example the 14-day right of withdrawal in the EU and UK), by purchasing, you request immediate access, and you acknowledge that, once access begins, that right may be lost or reduced to the extent the law allows. Nothing in this section limits any statutory right you cannot lawfully give up.

From time to time, we may offer a limited-time promotional discount on membership passes. Any such discount is shown alongside the standard price at the time of purchase and applies only to purchases made during the promotional period.

If your membership expires or is canceled without renewal, your account and any content you've created (such as saved itineraries) remain intact, and full access is restored immediately if you purchase a new membership — see "Data Retention" in our Privacy Policy for how long this is guaranteed.

Points & Rewards Program

Points and rewards are a promotional benefit of the Service. They have no cash value, cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for money, and may be adjusted, expire, or be withdrawn by us. We may change or end the program at any time. Points obtained through abuse, fraud, duplicate or self-referral accounts, or automated means may be removed, and unused points are forfeited when your account is closed or terminated.

Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, including a paid membership, at our discretion if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behavior, or misused the collaboration or points/rewards features. Except where a refund is required under "Paid Membership, Pricing & Refunds" above or applicable law, suspension or termination for violation of these Terms does not entitle you to a refund.

You may stop using the Service, or delete your account from your Profile page, at any time (an active paid membership must be canceled first). See our Privacy Policy for what is deleted and what may be retained.

Copyright Complaints (DMCA)

If you believe content on the Service — including a Community Explore listing, a comment, or an image displayed by the Service — infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice to our designated agent containing: (a) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf; (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (c) identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it on the Service; (d) your contact information (address, telephone number, and email address); (e) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (f) a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Send notices to our designated copyright agent: [Designated Agent name and contact information — to be added once registered with the U.S. Copyright Office at dmca.copyright.gov].

If you believe content you submitted was removed or disabled in error, you may submit a counter-notice with comparable identifying information; we may reinstate the content unless the original complainant informs us they have filed a court action.

We may, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers.

Availability & Changes

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time, in whole or in part, without notice.

Force Majeure

We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of the Service resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including outages of or changes to third-party services the Service depends on (such as Google's Gemini API, Google Cloud infrastructure, Stripe, or geocoding/mapping providers), internet or network failures, acts of government, natural disasters, or other events of force majeure.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that the courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service, except that this does not deprive you, if you are a consumer, of the protection of mandatory consumer laws or the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence where those laws give you that right.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

General

Our failure to enforce any right under these Terms is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including those on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive. We may give you notice by email to the address on your account or by posting it in the Service. A person who is not a party to these Terms has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 of Singapore to enforce any of its terms.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral, regarding its subject matter.
